LTO Motorcycle Registration – My 2025 Renewal Experience

Requirements Checklist

<WRAP tip> Tick each item before going to LTO. </WRAP>

  1. [ ] CTPL (electronically transmitted to LTO)
  2. [ ] MVIR (Motor Vehicle Inspection Report)
  3. [ ] Certificate of Emission Compliance
  4. [ ] Original OR & CR
  5. [ ] Motorcycle for physical inspection

Renewal Process (Step-by-Step)

Step 1 – Emission Testing & CTPL Go to an accredited emission center nearby. Pay for the emission test + CTPL.

Step 2 – Submit Documents to MV Inspector Hand over the emission results and CTPL to the LTO MV inspector for review.

Step 3 – Physical Inspection Inspector verifies the motorcycle details. Once cleared, he will tell you the next window (mine was Window 4).

Step 4 – Submit at the Assigned Window Submit all paperwork to the window indicated by the inspector.

Step 5 – Payment & Release of OR Wait to be called, pay the fees, and receive your new Official Receipt (OR).

Additional Tips

  • Go early to avoid long lines.
  • Keep photocopies of your OR/CR in case they ask.
  • Some branches separate motorcycle and 4-wheel queues.
